Course Structure
Overview:
The course is divided into four modules and includes a detailed glossary. Each module includes a test. Upon successful completion of the tests, participants will be awarded a certificate in Training and Instruction.

Foundations Participants will examine different adult education theories and principles and their application in training. They will further learn about different approaches of accommodating learning styles and multiple intelligences in their instruction and course design.

Planning and Instruction This module will take participants through planning steps including various types of needs assessment in order to fulfill individual, organizational and institutional needs. Participants will learn to analyze and develop goals, outcomes and objectives. This module includes comprehensive and hands-on sessions on lesson planning and methods of instruction.

Facilitating Training Participants will examine various aspects that influence adult learning such as diversity in forms culture, disability and personal differences. They will further explore the roles of a trainer as a motivator, mentor and a leader.

Assessment This module explores three types of assessment used in training: summative, formative and follow-up. It will introduce goals, process and outcomes based evaluations so that the trainer can address the organizational and individual needs.
